Providing the Quality Services You Need
So what's the grooming process?
1. It all starts with a hands-on pet assessment upon arrival: 5 - 10 minutes
RARA petcare will do an assessment of your pet’s skin, coat, ears, nails and teeth, so they can properly address their unique needs. While our stylists do take note of any behavioral or health concerns, this is a great time to let us know of any additional concerns, preferences or individual requirements.
2. Brushing & Clipping (pre-bath steps): 10-50 minutes
Our Petcare staff will start by brushing, combing and clipping your pet to remove any excess hair or tangles before they get their bath. They will also trim the pet’s nails and clean their ears.
3. Relaxing Bath: 10-40 minutes
RARA petcare’s relaxing bath is a pampering experience. We will wash your pet with our speciality shampoo/conditioner. All the shampoos and conditioners we use are pH-balanced specifically for pets and provide gentle cleansing without drying your pet’s skin. We can also use your shampoo and have a range of medicated and Sensitive/Allergy Dog Shampoos, please discuss with us if you have a preference.
4. Custom Drying: 30 minutes+
The drying process begins with a gentle towel drying on your pet’s face, ears and tail. Our dryers are not heated and have adjustable speeds. Different breeds have different needs and each pet is carefully dried using the best method for safety and comfort.
5. Tailored Haircut & Finishing Touches: 30 minutes+
Completing your pet’s haircut after they have been washed and blow-dried allows your stylist to ensure there are no additional tangles and provides the best-looking haircut.
We use this time to complete their brush-out, touch-up their nails & complete all the finishing touches to get them ready to strutt their stuff when you arrive.
Expert Pet Grooming
We recommend good coat management for your dog through regular maintenance visits, the benefits are endless to you and your pooch.
We use quality shampoos designed for all coat types. Each wash includes a Head and Face massage with our Berry Facial. We also offer a range of treatments including medicated shampoo, Guardian Soap, Puppy shampoo and De-shedding shampoo, plus should it be necessary a full flea treatment as recommended by Veterinarians. ($10 surcharge applies)
We offer – Nail Clipping, Ear Plucking and Anal Gland expression- please ask us (surcharge may apply)
Breed-specific styling
We specialise in styling your dog’s coat according to their breeds such as poodles, schnauzers, bichon frise, spaniels, terriers, shih tsu and many others. Alternatively, we can groom your pooch to their specific needs and lifestyle such as easy care, pet trims or short clip offs.

Please note: Prices are determined by the time taken to groom the dog, knots, mats and behaviour.

Extras
CANCELLATION FEES: Please note that we operate by appointment, if you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call and give us 24 hours notice, this allows us to fill the booking from our waiting list. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of $25, payable at your next visit.
PICK UP TIME: The amount of time a grooming service takes depends on your pet's size and the type of service requested. Your stylist will be able to provide an estimated time of completion at check-in or over the phone.
Minor services, such as nail trimmings, take approximately 5-10 minutes and depending on salon availability.
You will receive a notification message once we have finished the service.
