Rara Petcare T&C

At Rara Petcare, our staff are experienced groomers and pet lovers and we are honoured to have the opportunity to meet and spend time with your pet. We are committed to doing our best to make your pet feel loved, comfortable and warm, and to provide them with the finest, safest service.

By booking and attending your appointment you agree to the following salon policies, terms and conditions.

Grooming

We reserve the right to cease the groom if your puppy exhibit high levels of stress, bite or display fear or aggression or erratic behaviour, such may have their grooming appointments altered or cancelled on a case-by-case basis.

  • Before making an appointment, please ensure that your dog or cat is healthy. Please note that we can't groom dogs with fleas. If your dog has fleas please treat them prior to visiting our store. Should your dog be brought to us with infestation which is discovered after the groom has started, a flea handle fee of $25 will apply. This covers the coat of flea elimination.

  • Please inform us of any recent veterinary care or noticeable change in your dog’s health so we may best assess how to proceed with our service. If they have any infectious diseases, we reserve the right to refuse them. You must let our staff know if your pet has these or any other condition, otherwise, a $50 fee may apply. For first-time visit puppies, please provide C3 vaccine proof after you arrive at the store. 

  • We ask that any changes or cancellations be made 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid a $25 late cancellation fee. If you do not show up at your appointment time, we reserve the right to charge you the full service fee.  

  • Grooming service usually takes 2-4 hours, we will do our best to complete the service for you in time. We will text or call to notify you when the service is complete.

  • We will NOT de-mat a pet that has extreme matting. Excessive de-matting is a painful and time-consuming procedure that causes extreme discomfort and can aggravate (or cause) skin problems.

  • Please pick up your pet within 30 minutes after you receive the notification of service completion. If you need longer, please let us know and we may need to reschedule other clients' appointments. Lengthy delays may incur an additional service fee. If you cannot pick up your pet within 1 hour, we can arrange for your pet to stay at Rara Petcare daycare services and will charge the corresponding service fee.

  • Please understand that we are serving live animals. Although we do our best to serve your pets carefully under any circumstances and the possibility of problems is very rare, there may still be some unexpected accidents. The process of grooming services may expose hidden problems or exacerbate existing situations.

  • All prices, given over the phone or without having personally assessed your dog, are an estimate only and are subject to change at staff discretion. Extra charges may apply due to excessive matting, extra time grooming or stylised trims.

Daycare

  • We ask that any changes or cancellations be made 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid a $25 late cancellation fee. If you do not show up at your appointment time, we reserve the right to charge you the full service fee.  

  • Please pick up your pet within 30 minutes after you receive the notification of service completion.   • If your pet needs any medication under any circumstances, you must provide specific written dosage instructions from your veterinarian. If your pet becomes ill during the service period, you authorize Rara Petcare staff to take your dog or cat to our recommended veterinarian for any emergency treatment. You agree to pay in full any veterinary fees when you picked up your pet at Rara Petcare.

  • You must inform Rara Petcare staff of any known behavioural problems your pet may have, including but not limited to excessive barking, dominance, anxiety, biting etc. Rara Petcare will use safe and gentle corrective methods to control the behaviour.

  • There are no dog cages in our stores. All dogs and cats can play with each other and run freely. We cannot predict their behaviours because of animals’ natural habits, so there may be unpredictable risks. Once any emergency occurs, our staff will apply first aid always and notify you immediately. If the event is nearly serious, we reserve the right to take your pet to our approved veterinary service.

Other

  • Prices of our services and other charges displayed on the website are current at the time of issue but we may adjust the price at any time. Services are subject to availability. Prices may vary depending on the store location. 

  • I acknowledge that all photographic images or digital recordings taken of the facility, dogs, customers and staff, together with their prints and their copyrights therein are the property of RaraPetcare. I authorise RaraPetcare to reproduce/alter the images in print or electronic format without compensation to me and I waive the right to approve the finished image.
